Maricopa Car Wrecks

Car crashes in Arizona happen often. These wrecks occur due to driver error, road construction, vehicle problems, etc. Most often, car crashes in Arizona are caused by driver negligence. In the past decade, driver negligence has shot to the top of the list concerning the most prevalent causes of auto crashes in the US. This is most likely due to the fact that smartphones and other handheld technology is growing in popularity throughout the country. People think that it is okay to make calls, send texts, and check social media while driving. However, this is never true. It is completely unsafe to divert your attention from the roadway for any amount of time while you’re behind the wheel.

In Arizona, about 160,000 auto accidents happen every year. On average, more than 50,000 of these collisions are caused by distracted drivers. Be it from their cell phone, or another distraction from inside their car, driver distraction is one of the most common and dangerous types of driver negligence seen throughout the country. Nationwide, more than 400,000 car wrecks take place per year due to driver negligence. Some other prevalent types of driver negligence include:

  • Speeding
  • Intoxication
  • Extreme fatigue

When you or a loved one has been hurt by a negligent driver, you most likely will qualify for compensation for the damages and losses you are dealt due to the crash. You may be suffering from severe injuries that land you in the hospital for a long time, keeping you from working and making money for yourself and perhaps your family. A car crash lawyer in Maricopa can help you file a personal injury claim for compensation to help you cover the expenses related to your crash and the injuries that followed.
