Chandler, AZ (November 2, 2022) – On the evening of November 2, a car crash was reported to officials in Chandler. Reports indicate the incident occurred at around 7:05 p.m.

Responders were sent to the scene shortly after the accident occurred, on Loop 202 near Gilbert Road/exit 44. Traffic was backed up in the area for some time while emergency crews worked to help the injured parties.

At this time, the total number of injured victims remains unknown. However, paramedics were seen rendering aid at the wreck site.

Authorities in Chandler are still working to figure out how the wreck occurred.

Our thoughts are with everyone involved. We hope for their full recovery.

Arizona Auto Accidents

Imminent risk is involved in the decision to operate a vehicle. Unfortunately, car crashes are among the top ten causes of serious injuries and death in the United States. On average, roughly three million people are hurt per year in auto collisions in the United States. Approximately 6 million total accidents are reported yearly that take the lives of close to 40,000 people. In Arizona, more than 1,000 people lose their lives per year due to auto wrecks.

The fatality rate for auto collisions in America is approximately 12.4 fatalities per 100,000 individuals. This is about twice the average rate for other developed countries. Of these accidents, approximately two million people sustain permanent injuries per year in car accidents in the United States. About 4.4 million are injured so severely that they require hospital visits. The economic and societal impact of these collisions is approximately 8 billion dollars per year.

An alarming fact concerning all of these accidents is that more than 95% of them are the result of negligent drivers. Currently, the top causes of auto collisions in the United States are:

  • Distracted driving
  • Red light runners
  • Speeding
  • Reckless driving
  • Fatigued driving
  • Intoxicated driving

If you have been hurt by a negligent driver, you deserve financial compensation for the damages you face in the aftermath of your accident. An auto accident attorney in Chandler will help you file a car accident claim for compensation so you can cover the costs associated with your collision. According to information provided by the CDC, a car wreck resulting in an emergency room visit usually costs approximately $4,000. If hospitalization is required, more than $56,000 is needed to pay for a full recovery.
