Glendale, AZ – Man Severely Burned During House Fire on W. Adobe Dr

Glendale, AZ (July 06, 2022) – A man in his 60s is receiving treatment at a hospital after a late-night fire at his home in Glendale on Monday, July 4th.

Fire crews from Peoria and Glendale were dispatched to the home located on West Adobe Drive in the area of Beardsley Road and 83rd Avenue at about 12:00 a.m.

When they arrived, they noticed that a portion of the home was on fire and that a resident had sustained burns to his face and airway. He was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital.

Investigators think the fire began in the garage and spread to the house as well as a car in the driveway. They have said that fireworks are not thought to be the cause.

Another resident was home when the fire started but was able to escape unharmed.

Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family at this time. We hope for their full recovery.

Burn Injuries in Arizona

Burn accidents are often caused by innocuous household items and situations that are present every single day, such as:

  • Flame burns: Motor vehicle accidents, structure fires, grills, gas stoves
  • Chemical burns: Industrial chemicals, bleach, acid, cleaning supplies, chlorine
  • Steam/Scald burns: Cooking accidents, ironing accidents, industrial appliances
  • Electrical burns: Faulty wiring, improperly handled appliances

Some injuries are physically hidden; the victim knows that it’s there but it is invisible to the rest of the world. Burn injuries, however, are quite different. The scars they usually leave on their victims are not only traumatic but extremely visible. From facial burns that make it almost impossible to talk or smile to permanent scarring on your extremities, the damage caused by a burn injury is obvious to everyone.

While no amount of restitution can even the score for a lifetime of insecurity and explanations, signing with the right Arizona personal injury firm can make a world of difference.

Some common secondary injuries caused by burns include:

  • Permanent scarring
  • Disfigurement
  • Emotional trauma such as anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder

One of the biggest factors that set burn injuries apart from many other forms of injury is the amount of undue pain and suffering they cause. Dissimilar to other injuries, the pain from a burn is directly proportional to the wound’s healing.

To make matters worse, pain arising from a significant burn injury might not go away entirely, even after months or years of recovery. No one can predict just how much suffering and pain a burn injury will bring. That is why having a practiced burn injury lawyer on your side plays an essential role in helping you get your life back to the way it was before your accident.

Vehicle Accidents in Arizona

Car accidents happen regularly in the United States and throughout Arizona. There are over 125,000 motor vehicle collisions that happen in the state of Arizona per year. Approximately 150 people are hurt per day in these accidents. Across the United States, over 6 million car wrecks are reported annually. More than 3 million people are hurt in these wrecks.

Auto accidents can happen for a multitude of different reasons. Vehicle malfunctions, road conditions, and driver negligence all contribute to thousands of car accidents per year. However, driver negligence may contribute to millions of wrecks every year.

Statistics provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Association state that approximately 95% of the motor vehicle crashes reported in the United States are caused by driver negligence.

If you or someone you love has recently been injured in an auto collision caused by driver negligence, you deserve to be able to make a full recovery without worrying about money. Unfortunately, the average cost of recovering from a severe car wreck in the United States is more than $60k. The average American does not have access to this kind of money, which means it is monetarily difficult for most people to make full financial recoveries after suffering serious injuries in car wrecks.

The lawyers at Samuel P. Moeller, PLLC, have been helping injured accident victims make complete financial recoveries for many years. We work hard to ensure that our clients are able to collect full and fair financial compensation after they are injured in accidents caused by negligent drivers.

Traffic Collisions in Arizona

When you decide to drive a car, there comes an imminent risk that you may become involved in an accident caused by negligence.

On average, approximately three million people sustain injuries each year due to auto accidents in the United States, and most of these wrecks are caused by negligent drivers. In America, an average of six million vehicular collisions take place every year, killing over 90 people per day. The CDC reports that a traffic crash resulting in an ER visit costs almost $4,000. The cost of hospitalization for these injuries is more than $56,000.

The alarming fact is that over 95% of these accidents are caused by driver negligence. The leading four causes of car accidents in the United States are currently:

  • Running red lights: Running a red light is extremely dangerous due to the fact that those who are driving through green lights are usually totally unassuming that someone would be coming at them from a stopped direction.
  • Reckless driving: The actions of reckless motorists are often unpredictable and dangerous. Things like cutting people off, not using turn signals, tailgating, ignoring traffic signals, and erratically changing speeds are all extremely hazardous and are sure ways to cause a wreck.
  • Speeding: It’s understandable to feel rushed when you’re going somewhere, especially if you’re running late. However, driving over the speed limit has worse consequences than arriving late. Every year since 2009, speeding has been a contributing factor in at least 25% of all auto accidents in the United States.
  • Distracted driving: If you’ve ever been a busy driver, you know what it’s like to feel pressured to answer your phone or respond to a text. Multi-tasking while driving may seem harmless, however, over 1,000 people are injured in distracted-driving-related incidents per day in the United States.

Goodyear, AZ – One Seriously Injured in Two-Car Crash on I-10 at Dysart Rd

Goodyear, AZ (July 04, 2022) – One person sustained serious injuries during a two-car collision on the morning of Sunday, July 3rd in Goodyear.
