Phoenix, AZ (June 14, 2022) – A fatal car accident occurred in Phoenix on Wednesday, June 8. Police, EMTs, and fire crews were dispatched to the scene to render aid at around 11:15 a.m.

One woman lost her life in the wreck that happened at the intersection of 43rd and Northern Avenue. She was identified as Adele Adwar Murad, 33. Murad was turning left when a vehicle ran the red light at the intersection and crashed into her vehicle.

We would like to offer our sincere condolences to the family of Adele Adwar Murad during this difficult time.

Arizona Motor Vehicle Accidents

In 2021, over 1,000 people lost their lives on Arizona roadways. Arizona highways have statistically been among the most dangerous throughout the United States. The following is a list of the number of traffic deaths that have occurred in Arizona in the past five years:

2016: 952 deaths

2017: 1,000 deaths

2018: 1,010 deaths

2019: 982 deaths

2020: 1,057 deaths

Two main problems that often lead to auto accidents in the Grand Canyon State include wrong-way drivers and DUIs. These are two leading types of driver negligence, the main contributing factor in car wrecks across the country.

Approximately 90% of auto collisions in Arizona are the result of negligent driver behavior, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. This includes speeding, reckless or distracted driving, or driving while impaired.

Negligent drivers injure and take the lives of thousands of people per year. Regardless of the safety rules and regulations put in place to keep drivers safe, driver negligence continues to wreak havoc on the roadways.

When you or a loved one has been hurt in a wreck caused by driver distraction, fatigue, or intoxication, you possess a legal right toward financial compensation for your injuries and the damages that stemmed from the crash itself. Injured accident victims often face many problems in the aftermath of a collision. Financially speaking, it is extremely expensive to sustain severe injuries in a collision.

If you believe that you or someone you love has recently been injured by negligence on the road. If you have recently lost a family member in this manner, filing a wrongful death claim for financial compensation could help you financially recover after losing your loved one.

Funeral costs, burial costs, medical care, and other expenses related to the passing of your loved one could be covered by financial compensation if you work with a wrongful death lawyer in Phoenix.
