Bicycle Accidents in Arizona

There are many dangers that bicyclists face when sharing the road with motor vehicles. Some of the most common dangers are when drivers fail to yield to bicyclists, turn without looking, and drivers who cause door accidents.

Bicyclists have the same rights and responsibilities as motorists and are entitled to use the full lane of traffic. However, many drivers ignore this fact and often try to share the lane with a bicyclist, resulting in an accident. Drivers who fail to yield to bicyclists not only put themselves at risk but also put the bicyclist in danger.

Another common danger that bicyclists face is when drivers turn without looking. This often happens at intersections and can result in a serious accident. When turning, drivers must always yield to oncoming traffic, including bicyclists. Failing to do so can result in a collision that could seriously injure or even kill a bicyclist.

Dooring is another hazard that bicyclists face on a daily basis. This occurs when a driver opens their door into the path of an oncoming cyclist. Dooring can cause serious injuries and is completely preventable if drivers take the time to look before they open their doors.

Mesa, AZ – Motorcyclist Killed in Fatal Accident on SR 347 near Riggs Rd

Mesa, AZ (November 3, 2022) – A motorcyclist was killed in a fatal crash late on Wednesday, November 2 in Mesa. According to information from the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred after 9:00 p.m.

Sources say the incident occurred at the intersection of Riggs Road and SR 347. DPS states that a vehicle was turning left from the northbound lanes of SR 347 when it was involved in a head-on collision with the motorcycle.

The motorcyclist lost their life at the crash scene. The driver of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries, reports said. Traffic was restricted in the area for several hours while crews worked at the scene.

Authorities in Mesa continue to investigate the details of the accident.

We want to offer our sincere condolences to the family of the deceased victim.

Arizona Motorcycle Crashes

Traffic accidents happen at an alarming rate in Arizona. More than 150,000 auto wrecks are reported per year in the Grand Canyon State. These wrecks cause thousands of injuries and fatalities annually. A percentage of these collisions involve motorcycles. Motorcyclists are at a greater risk for serious and fatal injuries due to being totally unprotected and vulnerable while traveling.

If you have recently lost a loved one in a motorcycle collision, you may be eligible to collect financial compensation for the damages you face. Statistics regarding motorcycle accidents in the United States show that approximately half of the motorcycle accidents that occur here are the fault of the other driver, not the motorcyclist.

This means that it is about 50% likely that your family member caused their own accident. A wrongful death lawyer can help you figure out who or what caused your loved one’s crash and how you can collect compensation to help pay for the aftermath.

Losing a loved one in a traffic accident is devastating. You may feel like your entire world has stopped. We, the Law Offices of Samuel P. Moeller, PLLC, are here to help you recover in more ways than one. We can help you get the financial compensation you need to pay for vehicle repair, lost wages, funeral care, and more.

Ponderosa, AZ – Three Hospitalized After 17-Vehicle Accident on I-40 at milepost 175

Ponderosa, AZ (November 3, 2022) – A car accident happened between 17 vehicles in Flagstaff on November 3. Three people were sent to the hospital following the accident.

The incident occurred on I-140 near milepost 175, according to information from the Arizona Department of Public Safety. At least two semi-trucks were involved in the crash.

A vehicle spun out in the westbound lanes and struck a guardrail before it then hit another car and caused the pileup to occur. Several injuries were reported, Ponderosa fire officials said.

Eastbound lanes of I-40 were closed east of Williams at milepost 175 in the vicinity of Parks Road. The names of those involved have not been reported at this time.

We hope for the full recovery of those with injuries. Police in Ponderosa continue to investigate.

Arizona Truck Wrecks

Thousands of people are hurt in Arizona car crashes each year. When trucks become involved in these collisions, the chances of those involved suffering severe and even fatally injuries dramatically increases.

There are many different reasons a truck crash could happen in the state of Arizona. One of the most frequently seen is speeding. Truckers are usually under a lot of pressure to meet strict deadlines, and, therefore, may feel forced to exceed the speed limit so as to deliver their loads on time. This can create dangerous circumstances on the road.

Another prevalent cause of truck accidents in Arizona is fatigued driving. Due to the fact that truck drivers usually work long hours without enough sleep, they may become drowsy or even fall asleep while behind the wheel. This, too, is extremely dangerous and puts everyone on the road with them at risk.

Driver distraction is another common reason Arizona truck wrecks happen. Truckers may be distracted by their GPS, cell phones, or other items or devices inside their trucks. This can divert their attention from the road and greatly increase the chances of an accident occurring.

Impairment is, unfortunately, a leading cause of truck collisions in Arizona and throughout the US. Due to having to work long hours with no sleep, truckers may turn to drugs and/or alcohol to try and get them through their shifts. This is extremely dangerous and puts their lives and everyone else’s on the road in danger. If you see a truck driver who appears to be impaired, report them to the authorities.

If you or your loved one has been injured as a result of a truck accident, a truck crash lawyer in Ponderosa can help you file a personal injury claim against the responsible party.

Our truck accident lawyers at the Law Offices of Samuel P. Moeller, PLLC have extensive experience helping families get justice after losing loved ones. Chandler, AZ – Auto Accident on Loop 202 near Gilbert Rd Causes Injuries

Chandler, AZ (November 2, 2022) – On the evening of November 2, a car crash was reported to officials in Chandler. Reports indicate the incident occurred at around 7:05 p.m.

Responders were sent to the scene shortly after the accident occurred, on Loop 202 near Gilbert Road/exit 44. Traffic was backed up in the area for some time while emergency crews worked to help the injured parties.

At this time, the total number of injured victims remains unknown. However, paramedics were seen rendering aid at the wreck site.

Authorities in Chandler are still working to figure out how the wreck occurred.

Our thoughts are with everyone involved. We hope for their full recovery.

Arizona Auto Accidents

Imminent risk is involved in the decision to operate a vehicle. Unfortunately, car crashes are among the top ten causes of serious injuries and death in the United States. On average, roughly three million people are hurt per year in auto collisions in the United States. Approximately 6 million total accidents are reported yearly that take the lives of close to 40,000 people. In Arizona, more than 1,000 people lose their lives per year due to auto wrecks.

The fatality rate for auto collisions in America is approximately 12.4 fatalities per 100,000 individuals. This is about twice the average rate for other developed countries. Of these accidents, approximately two million people sustain permanent injuries per year in car accidents in the United States. About 4.4 million are injured so severely that they require hospital visits. The economic and societal impact of these collisions is approximately 8 billion dollars per year.

An alarming fact concerning all of these accidents is that more than 95% of them are the result of negligent drivers. Currently, the top causes of auto collisions in the United States are:

  • Distracted driving
  • Red light runners
  • Speeding
  • Reckless driving
  • Fatigued driving
  • Intoxicated driving

If you have been hurt by a negligent driver, you deserve financial compensation for the damages you face in the aftermath of your accident. An auto accident attorney in Chandler will help you file a car accident claim for compensation so you can cover the costs associated with your collision. According to information provided by the CDC, a car wreck resulting in an emergency room visit usually costs approximately $4,000. If hospitalization is required, more than $56,000 is needed to pay for a full recovery.

The law offices of Samuel P. Moeller, PLLC helps injured crash victims make full and fast recoveries.
