Sustaining severe injuries in an auto crash can be a very difficult experience. Not only is it physically and emotionally draining, but it can also be draining for your bank account. Every year, approximately 40,000 people are killed in car wrecks in the United States, according to information gathered by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Most of the car crashes that happen in the United States are caused by driver negligence.  Despite the extreme commonality of multitasking and driving, it is never, ever safe. Driver distraction puts lives at risk at alarming rates in the United States.

Distracted, drunk, and fatigued driving are three forms of driver negligence that are most often seen in the United States. The leading cause of car crashes in the United States is currently distracted driving, which causes over 400,000 car wrecks per year.

When you or someone you love has been seriously hurt in a car accident, it is important to figure out how and why the collision occurred. You may be eligible for financial compensation if you believe that a negligent driver caused your wreck and are able to prove it. The cost of medical care, vehicle repairs, lost wages, and more may be eligible for financial compensation if you file a personal injury claim.

Negligent drivers face hefty fines and even jail time if the accident they cause ends in injuries or property damage. Working with a skilled personal injury attorney can help you get the maximum compensation available for your injuries.
