Residential Fires in Arizona

Burn accidents are often caused by benign household items and scenarios that are present in everyday life, such as:

  • Chemical burns: Industrial chemicals, bleach, acid, cleaning supplies, chlorine
  • Electrical burns: Faulty wiring, improperly handled appliances
  • Flame burns: Motor vehicle accidents, structure fires, grills, gas stoves
  • Steam/Scald burns: Cooking accidents, ironing accidents, industrial appliances

Some injuries are physically hidden; the victim knows that it’s there, but it is invisible to the rest of the world. Burn injuries, however, are quite different. The scars they usually leave on their victims are not only traumatic but extremely visible.

From facial burns that make it almost impossible to talk or smile to permanent scarring on your extremities, the damage caused by a burn injury is obvious to everyone.

One of the biggest factors that set burn injuries apart from many other forms of injury is the amount of undue pain and suffering they cause. Dissimilar to other injuries, the pain from a burn is directly proportional to the wound’s healing.

To make matters worse, pain arising from a significant burn injury might not go away entirely, even after months or years of recovery. No one can predict just how much suffering and pain a burn injury will bring. That is why having a practiced burn injury lawyer on your side plays an essential role in helping you get your life back to the way it was before your accident.

The lawyers at Samuel P. Moeller, PLLC, have been helping injured accident victims make complete financial recoveries for many years. We work hard to ensure that our clients are able to collect full and fair financial compensation after they are injured in accidents caused by someone else’s negligence.

The law in Arizona says that anyone injured by another person’s negligence has the right to pursue financial compensation to help pay for their injuries and losses. A Phoenix personal injury attorney can help you file a personal injury claim for compensation if you find yourself in a situation of this nature.

You can reach our law firm at (602) 903-2905 to speak with an experienced lawyer about your case. Let our legal team assist you in collecting the financial compensation you deserve. Call us as soon as you can to get started on your own personal injury claim.

Pedestrian Accident Fatalities in Arizona

Unfortunately, being a pedestrian comes with an inherent risk that you could be injured in an accident caused by a negligent driver.

The primary causes of Arizona pedestrian accidents are:

  • Running stop lights: Ignoring a stop light is extremely risky due to the fact that those with the right of way are already in the intersection. This increases your chances of hitting more than one vehicle.
  • Reckless driving: Reckless drivers are dangerous and unpredictable. Hazardous driving maneuvers such as not using turn signals, cutting off other drivers, ignoring traffic signs and signals, following too closely, and changing speeds erratically are all examples of reckless driving.
  • Speeding: It’s normal to feel rushed when you’re going somewhere, particularly if you are running late. Exceeding the speed limit, however, has consequences that are potentially far worse than arriving late. Every year since 2009, speeding has been a contributing factor in at least 25% of all auto accidents in the United States.
  • Distracted driving: If you’ve ever been a busy driver, you know what it’s like to feel pressured to answer your phone or respond to a text. Multi-tasking while driving may seem harmless. However, over 1,000 people are injured in distracted driving-related incidents per day in the United States.

If you or a loved one were injured by a negligent driver, you are entitled to be financially compensated for the injuries and other damages associated with the accident. A Phoenix pedestrian accident attorney can help you successfully file a personal injury claim for compensation.

At the law offices of Samuel P. Moeller, PLLC, one of our experienced personal injury attorneys will help you get the money you need to cover your expensive medical bills, property damage, and other losses arising from your accident.

Arizona Auto Crashes

Driving a car is an extremely fast and convenient way to travel. Unfortunately, there is a constant risk of becoming involved in an auto accident no matter how safe you are. Each year, over 6 million car accidents happen throughout the country that causes serious injuries to over 3 million people. Sadly, more than 40,000 individuals lose their lives in these collisions. Alarmingly, most of these crashes are caused by negligent drivers. Today, driver negligence is most often displayed by distraction, fatigue, speeding, and intoxication.

More than 125,000 car accidents happen throughout the state of Arizona every year. Generally, about 60,000 people sustain injuries serious enough to send them to the hospital in these collisions. About 1,000 people are killed in these wrecks per year. Speeding is the main cause of Arizona auto accidents. Throughout the country, about 31% of deadly auto accidents are caused by speeding drivers. This is equal to about 11,000 people who die per year due to drivers who drive at unsafe speeds.

The fatality rate related to auto accidents in the United States is approximately double the average fatality rate of other developed nations. Each year, approximately two million people become permanently disabled due to sustaining severe injuries in auto crashes.
