Phoenix, AZ – Hit & Run Crash on Bell Rd near 32nd St Sends One to Hospital

Phoenix, AZ (July 22, 2022) – A woman identified as Jennifer VanNorton was sent to the hospital with injuries after a hit-and-run pedestrian wreck on Bell Road.

The incident occurred on July 17th near 32nd Street. Police were sent to the scene shortly after the accident took place to assist those involved.

For reasons still under police investigation, a truck driver struck the elderly woman as she was walking along the roadway.

The driver fled the scene right after the impact without stopping to render aid or wait for authorities to arrive. Reports from officials show that a witness stopped and rendered aid to the severely injured pedestrian until medical personnel arrived.

Preliminary reports show that VanNorton was headed home from the salon when she was struck. Police continue to search for the at-fault driver.

We hope for the full recovery of Jennifer VanNorton. Our thoughts are with her and her family during this difficult time.

Arizona Pedestrian Wrecks

Approximately 4,500 people are hurt per month in car wrecks in Arizona or around 150 per day. More than 8,000 auto accidents happen every month in the Grand Canyon State or about 98,000 every year. This is equal to approximately 268 each day. Usually, injured victims need immediate medical care and hospitalization. Those who suffer severe injuries usually undergo emergency surgery to make full recoveries. They may also have to go through weeks or months of therapy and rehab depending on how severe their injuries are.

When innocent drivers are injured due to driver negligence, the injured victims need to learn about their legal rights. Contacting a car crash lawyer in Phoenix can help you understand how you have the legal right toward financial compensation after you’ve been hurt by another person’s negligent actions.

Hit-and-run accidents, unfortunately, happen frequently in Arizona and throughout the US. The Grand Canyon State sees more than 15,000 hit-and-run collisions every year. A hit-and-run is very dangerous given the fact that injured victims may be left lying in the roadway or in their vehicles without help for prolonged periods of time, increasing their chances of suffering injuries that will affect them for the rest of their lives, or worse. If you or a loved one of yours has sustained injuries in a hit-and-run collision, you could benefit from talking to a car accident attorney.

Phoenix, AZ – Auto Accident Causes Injuries on Campbell Ave near 28th St

Phoenix, AZ (July 20, 2022) – A car crash happened in Phoenix on the morning of July 20 that required an emergency dispatch. Reports show that the accident took place at approximately 11:15 a.m.

Police and paramedics along with other responders were observed in the vicinity of the accident site a short time after it happened. Reports show that the wreck took place on Campbell Avenue near 28th Street.

The cause of the incident is currently being investigated by local law enforcement officials in Phoenix. Traffic was backed up in the area while responders worked to clear the roadway.

Police asked local drivers to steer clear of the crash site or use alternate routes of travel for the time being. No other details have been reported concerning the collision.

Our thoughts are with everyone involved in this auto accident in Phoenix.

Arizona Car Crashes

Imminent risk is involved in the decision to operate a vehicle. Unfortunately, car crashes are among the top ten causes of serious injuries and death in the United States. On average, roughly three million people are hurt per year in auto collisions in the United States. Approximately 6 million total accidents are reported yearly that take the lives of close to 40,000 people. In Arizona, more than 1,000 people lose their lives per year due to auto wrecks.

The fatality rate for auto collisions in America is approximately 12.4 fatalities per 100,000 individuals. This is about twice the average rate for other developed countries. Of these accidents, approximately two million people sustain permanent injuries per year in car accidents in the United States. About 4.4 million are injured so severely that they require hospital visits. The economic and societal impact of these collisions is approximately 8 billion dollars per year.

An alarming fact concerning all of these accidents is that more than 95% of them are the result of negligent drivers. Currently, the top causes of auto collisions in the United States are:

  • Distracted driving
  • Red light runners
  • Speeding
  • Reckless driving
  • Fatigued driving
  • Intoxicated driving

If you have been hurt by a negligent driver, you deserve financial compensation for the damages you face in the aftermath of your accident. An auto accident attorney in Phoenix will help you file a car accident claim for compensation so you can cover the costs associated with your collision. According to information provided by the CDC, a car wreck resulting in an emergency room visit usually costs approximately $4,000. If hospitalization is required, more than $56,000 is needed to pay for a full recovery.
