Car Accidents in Sun City

There is always a risk of becoming involved in a traffic accident when you ride in a car. Unfortunately, the majority of the car wrecks that happen in the United States and throughout Arizona are the result of driver negligence. Approximately three million people are hurt in car crashes per year in the United States. On average, around 6 million car crashes happen per year in the US. In Arizona, more than 125,000 wrecks occur.

Auto crashes take more lives than HIV/AIDS in the United States every year. More people lose their lives in car accidents than any other type of accident. Over 90 people lose their lives per day in car wrecks in the United States, which is equal to around 38,000 people killed per year. Additionally, the fatality rate for auto wrecks in the US is 12.4 fatalities per 100,000 individuals. This is double the average car crash fatality rate for other developed countries.

Out of the millions of auto crashes that happen in the United States every year, about 2 million people sustain injuries that affect them for the rest of their lives. About 4.4 million people sustain injuries that land them in the hospital. The economic and societal impact of auto collisions in the United States is about 8 billion dollars every year.

After considering all of these numbers, it is alarming to consider that more than 95% of these collisions are the result of negligent drivers. Currently, the top ten reasons car wrecks happen in the United States are:

  • Distracted driving: it is easy to feel pressured to pick up your phone or type out a text while driving, after all, everyone multi-tasks while they drive. However, they probably shouldn’t, as more than 1,000 people sustain injuries in auto wrecks caused by drunk drivers per day.
  • Red-light runners: Running a red light is one of the most dangerous things a person can do. This is because people driving through green lights usually do not assume that anyone will be coming from a stopped direction on the road.
  • Speeding: Feeling rushed when you’re on the way to somewhere important is understandable, however, arriving late is better than never arriving at all. Every year since 2009, speeding has contributed to more than a quarter of the total car crashes reported in the United States.
  • Reckless driving: Reckless motorists are dangerous and unpredictable. Cutting people off, tailgating, ignoring traffic signals, and changing speeds erratically are hazardous activities and are definite routes to an accident.

If you or someone you love has been injured in a car wreck caused by driver negligence, you should be compensated for the losses that stemmed from your collision. An auto accident attorney can help you file a personal injury claim for compensation so you can cover the expenses related to your accident. According to information from the CDC, a car wreck resulting in an emergency room visit costs approximately $4,000. Hospitalization for these injuries is more than $56,000.

Our team of skilled lawyers works diligently to assist our clients who have been injured in accidents to recover full and fair financial compensation. You can call our office at 602-903-2905. Arizona Auto Wrecks

When you decide to drive a car, there comes an imminent risk that you may become involved in an accident caused by negligence. On average, approximately three million people sustain injuries each year due to auto accidents in the United States, and most of these wrecks are caused by negligent drivers. In America, an average of six million vehicular collisions take place every year, killing over 90 people per day. This means that approximately 38,000 people are killed in traffic wrecks every year.

The fatality rate for car accidents in the United States is 12.4 deaths per 100,000 people. This is approximately double the average fatality rate for other developed countries. Of these collisions, around two million drivers become permanently injured each year, while approximately 4.4 million people will be so severely injured that they have to go to the hospital. The societal and economic impact of these wrecks is about 8 billion dollars each year.

The alarming fact is that over 95% of these accidents are caused by driver negligence. The top ten causes of car accidents in the United States are currently:

  • Distracted driving: If you’ve ever been a busy driver, you know what it’s like to feel pressured to answer your phone or respond to a text. Multi-tasking while driving may seem harmless, however, over 1,000 people are injured in distracted-driving-related incidents per day in the United States.
  • Running red lights: Running a red light is extremely dangerous due to the fact that those who are driving through green lights are usually totally unassuming that someone would be coming at them from a stopped direction.
  • Speeding: It’s understandable to feel rushed when you’re going somewhere, especially if you’re running late. However, driving over the speed limit has worse consequences than arriving late. Every year since 2009, speeding has been a contributing factor in at least 25% of all auto accidents in the United States.
  • Reckless driving: The actions of reckless motorists are often unpredictable and dangerous. Things like cutting people off, not using turn signals, tailgating, ignoring traffic signals, and erratically changing speeds are all extremely hazardous and are sure ways to cause a wreck.

If you have been victimized by a negligent driver, you deserve to be compensated for the damages you face in relation to your wreck. A car crash lawyer in Phoenix can help you file a personal injury claim for compensation so you can pay for the costs related to your wreck. The CDC reports that a traffic crash resulting in an ER visit costs almost $4,000. The cost of hospitalization for these injuries is more than $56,000.

Moeller, PLLC, one of our skilled lawyers can help you get a good majority of the money back that you lost paying for expensive medical bills, vehicle repairs, and other expenses that stemmed from your crash. Surprise, AZ – Pedestrian Collision with Injuries on W Greenway Rd near Reems Rd

Surprise, AZ (June 25, 2022) – A serious traffic accident happened in Surprise on the afternoon of June 25. Responders were sent to the crash scene at around 3:40 p.m. after receiving calls concerning the incident.

According to information from reports, the wreck occurred on West Greenway Road near Reems Road and involved a bicyclist. What led up to the collision remains under police investigation at this time.

Emergency crews including police and paramedics were seen assisting at the wreck site. The bicyclist was treated by paramedics, however, it remains unclear whether they were transported to the hospital for further care.

The identity of the injured victim has not currently been reported.

Police in Surprise continue to investigate the circumstances of the collision.

We hope for the full recovery of the injured victim.

Arizona Pedestrian Accidents

Approximately 4,500 people sustain injuries in traffic collisions in Arizona per month, or around 150 every day. A percentage of these are pedestrians: people who choose to walk, or ride their bikes, or people in motorized wheelchairs or scooters. According to information provided by the Arizona Department of Transportation, Arizona is the most dangerous state in the nation for pedestrian travel. In 2017, 226 people were killed in pedestrian collisions in the Grand Canyon State. This is equal to a rate of about 1.61 pedestrian fatalities per 100,000 people. This is more than double the national average, which is 0.8 per 100,000. Almost three times as many men were killed in pedestrian collisions in Arizona than women in 2017.

Pedestrians are often more severely injured in traffic collisions, and for obvious reasons. Unfortunately, not every driver can be trusted. A large percentage of people choose to drive negligently, i.e., while intoxicated, fatigued, or simply distracted. Negligent driving is punishable by fines and sometimes jail time depending on the severity of the incident. More than 95% of the traffic wrecks that occur in Arizona and throughout the United States are caused by negligent drivers.

Pedestrians who are injured in traffic collisions have the option to collect compensation if the driver is found to be at least 51% responsible. Financial compensation can help you cover costs related to your wreck, like medical care costs, vehicle repairs or replacement, and much more. The best and most effective way to go about getting this compensation is to hire a personal injury attorney. A personal injury lawyer in Surprise can help you file a personal injury claim for compensation.   More than 8,000 auto accidents are reported each month in Arizona or approximately 98,000 every year. This is equal to around  268 wrecks that happen each day. Usually, people injured in these collisions have to spend days, weeks, or even months in the hospital recovering. While stuck there, they may have to undergo invasive surgeries and other medical procedures that can be exhausting and expensive.

Unfortunately, throughout the United States, pedestrian collisions happen at an alarming rate. Over  7,000 people lose their lives in these accidents every year. At the Law Offices of Samuel P. Moeller, PLLC, we can help you get the money you need to pay for all of the costs related to your collision if you have been injured in a pedestrian crash. Responders were sent to the scene located on Interstate 10 near Loop 101. Initial reports show that the fatal accident happened on the southbound Loop 101 ramp.

The reason the street sweeper plunged off of the bridge and fell onto the roadway below remains under police investigation at this time. Witnesses say they saw the truck fall from the ramp.
