Phoenix, AZ (September 12, 2022) – On the morning of Tuesday, September 6, a car crash happened in Phoenix that took one life. Responders were seen at the crash site at approximately 7:00 a.m.
The incident was reported to officials in the area who promptly responded to the intersection of 43rd Avenue and Bell Road. The involved vehicles were identified as an SUV and a pickup truck.
One woman lost her life in the accident. She was identified as 72-year-old Deborah Connel. Connel attempted to pull out of a private drive and head north when she was struck by an eastbound vehicle.
Paramedics transported Connel to a local medical center to be treated for life-threatening injuries. She was pronounced deceased a short time later.
The other driver involved stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Their identity has not been released at this time.
The roadway was closed while emergency responders worked in the area. Nothing further has been reported.
