Phoenix, AZ (July 12, 2022) – A pregnant female was killed in a head-on collision with an alleged intoxicated driver in Yavapai County. The wreck occurred on Sunday, June 10.
Reports show that the collision took place along Highway 93 near Congress. A Jeep Liberty SUV was traveling south when it collided with a Honda Civic heading north. The Honda’s driver was identified as 32-year-old Karen Garcia-Rodriquez. Police stated that she was pregnant at the time of the wreck.
Sadly, Rodriquez and her unborn child both lost their lives in the collision. The Jeep’s driver, only identified as a man, was possibly intoxicated, DPS stated.
